Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method  &  Qigong

Chinese Martial & Healing Arts
– for young and old –

Details about “Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method” (Tai Chi) …here
Details about “Qigong” …here

Taijiquan (Tai Chi) and Qigong are actually two very different things, but these two got mixed up very much since a long while. In short: Taijiquan is a martial art, and what we call Qigong today are all sort of exercises out of the field of Daoist and Buddhist spiritual practices.

But today, both Qigong and Taijiquan are practiced mainly for health care purposes. This is totally fine, but in order to keep the specific qualities of the practice, we do good to value the whole thing and do not diminish those disciplines to the specific purposes.

In our workshops we want to give a quick but deep insight in the world of Taijiquan & Qigong. Our particular school of Taijiquan (Tai Chi), “Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method” comes from the authentic transmission lineage of Master Chen Fake (17th generation) – Hong Junsheng (18th generation) – Chen Zhonghua (19th generation).

The training and teaching is guided by Michael Winkler, 20th generation disciple under Master Chen Zhonghua. The teaching method is quite modern, but it is designed in a way to keep the original content. Being a real martial art, this style is nether a martial “sport” nor a relaxation exercise. It is internal gong fu and much more physical than one might expect by watching the moves and positions.

Before meeting Master Chen Zhonghua in 2010, Michael also had training and insights in various Daoist Qigong methods, and he is a certified Shiatsu practitioner. Both the Taijiquan and the Qigong he was teaching in Berlin since 2007, which was very efficient and especially useful in combination with Shiatsu treatments.
